The Smithsonian Museum of Asian Art’s Freer and Sackler Galleries have invited Cantate and composer Gary Davison to reprise Davison’s ethereal Chidori for women’s voices and koto, a classical Japanese stringed instrument. The expanded koto accompaniment will be led again by internationally renowned kotoist Miyuki Yoshikami.
