Young Composers’ Contest: Guidelines 2013

As part of its commitment to “innovative programming and creative educational outreach that promotes young artists,” Cantate Chamber Singers announces its ninth biennial Young Composers’ Contest for residents of the U.S. and Canada, 35 years old or younger.

$1,000 CASH AWARD
Submission Deadline: July 1, 2013

This year’s entries must be:

  • scored for mixed choir
  • a cappella, or with keyboard accompaniment
  • based on a Benjamin Britten quote from A Simple Symphony, Op. 4 Introductory Note
  • ten minutes or less in length
