THE ORIGINAL-LYRICS COMPETITION
You’re Bold! You’re Clever! And you’ve got THE MOST AMAZING idea for new lyrics to a holiday favorite tune. These might be Cantate-themed, beer-themed, or current-events themed – whatever they are, we want them!
Cantate is seeking submissions for the Original Lyrics Competition at our Barrels & Carols Event on December 9. Lyrics must be appropriate for choral consumption and set to a well-known holiday or choral tune. A minimum of one complete verse is required. Lyrics may be written and submitted by an individual or a team.
Submit your best efforts to us by November 28, and we’ll pick the top three to be sung, voted on, and generally adulated by the revelers at our event. Winners get bragging rights and coveted Cantate swag.
May the best lyrics win!
